Horray!

Well Rowan has slept through the night 3 nights in a row! Its going great! This morning he slept all the way until it was time for me to wake him up! I was really surprised because it was the 1st full day of our new wake up time in the morning to get ready for daycare. I thought it would be a rough day, but he went RIGHT to sleep at night at bedtime, DIDN'T want to stay awake at our 9pm feeding, and lasted all night! Hopefully camping this weekend doesn't throw everything off too badly.

I was reading some baby message board posts and could not believe some of the conversation about naps! I don't know how people get by w/ their kids only taking 1-2 30 min. naps a day! I keep my mouth shut because Babywise &/or cry it out &/or PARENT deciding when baby sleeps and when baby wakes is frowned upon by many of the moms... but SERIOUSLY! Kids need sleep! Thank you Chandra and Nicole for giving me the blessing of tools to let Rowan be a happy, well rested child! I always get comments on how he's ALWAYS smiling. Well, yes, he is! Because he sleeps!

Grandma & Grandpa McLellan will be here again tomorrow afternoon on their way to go camping/picking up Jamie for the week. I wish we were going for the whole week but it was just too much for me to plan, organize, and while I was pregnant I wasn't quite sure if I would be up for sleeping in a tent w/ the baby. And since Nate can't really take any time off work right now I would feel bad leaving him home for yet ANOTHER trip! I cannot wait for this economy to get better so he can take time off and we can have family vacations again!
