Weekend of 1sts

This weekend Rowan got his 1st haircut and we had our 1st BBQ of the year. We didn't get any pics of Rowan's actual cut since Nate had to work and Ro sat in my lap. But the place near our house had a special card to commemorate the 1st haircut w/ some locks. He was SO good! The kid next to him was flipping out and I was worried that his screams would scare Ro, but he just watched him- probably thinking "What the heck is wrong with you kid? This is no PROB!" I guess its normal when they get older though.
After Nate got home we went to Vasona to walk around and feed the ducks.  He was really curious about the train. Hopefully by the end of the summer he'll be old enough to enjoy it. While we were driving the temp went up 12 degrees... in about, umm... 7 mins! It was SOO hot! Luckily I randomly brought a tee-shirt instead of a long sleeve shirt for Rowan. WE were hot though.
This morning we went to the farmer's market, enjoyed the sun and then barbecued for dinner. Rowan got a balloon at the market and cried when he had to let it go to get in the car seat. And I mean CRIED- real tears coming out. We also found some GORGEOUS tulips, amazingly delicious asparagus, yummy sausages, strawberries of course, and I found some local organic eggs. I've never seen the egg guy there before (I don't get to go very often cuz I'm usually working Sundays, so he might be there regularly.) I love the weekends I get off. Hope everyone else had an awesome weekend!
